Located in the village of Churchinford in the Parish of Churchstanton, The York Inn sits 10 miles equal distance from Taunton, Honiton and Chard. The small, farming village is an area of 'outstanding natural beauty' and more recently has been designated 'environmentally sensitive'.
The York Inn is a traditional hostelry dating back, in some parts, to the 16th century, with open fireplace and oak beams, yet offering contemporary comforts and facilities. A genuine freehouse, it has been in the same hands for 10 years and has a fine reputation for hospitality and good food.
You are perfectly placed for country walks which commence from the front door and for horse back riding across the fields and hills. Churchinford is ideally situated for touring tbe West Country - both north and south coasts are within 45 minutes drive. Honiton Town, with its antique shops and galleries, is a fifteen minute drive away and the Cathedral City of Exeter is within forty minutes.
For sports enthusiasts there is a superb sports centre and golf courses within five miles. Both trout and course fishing is available at the beautiful Fishponds and Otterhead lakes.

Recently refurbished, there are spacious single, twin and double rooms, all with en-suite bath or shower and toilet, phone, tea and coffee making facilities, trouser press, colour television and full heating.
An extra child's bed can be provided on request.
The York's bars offer comfort and good cheer: there are sports TV, pool and darts for your amusement as well as frequent live entertainment.
On warm summer days you are invited to enjoy a drink or a meal in the new flower decked, courtyard area.

Breakfast is always included in the basic tariff and is served in the inn's dining room. Vegetarian and special diets can be catered for with prior notice.
The York Inn enjoys a fine reputation for good modern English food and features many classic dishes on it's dining room menu. Local game and fresh fish are specialities. Approximate cost £18 per head excluding wine.

The locals' bar has interesting and freshly made bar snacks.
