Property, setting and location:
Built 160 years ago of local stone in Scottish architecural style, The Old Rectory stands one and a half miles above the magnificent Pembrokeshire coast, close to the famous coastal path and sandy beaches. A wonderfully rural spot with sea views.
You are positioned at the southern end of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, a wilderness of outstanding natural beauty, and not too far from the towns of Pembroke and Milford Haven. This is the perfect base for a beach holiday, water sports, cliff walking, hunting, shooting and fishing, bird watching and exploration of the local pubs.
The emphasis is on comfort and good living - your hostess is an excellent cook. The house has been decorated beautifully in the hope that you will really enjoy your stay.
Guest rooms, facilities and the garden:
There are 4 guest bedrooms, two doubles and two with twin single beds, decorated beautifully with large, comfortable beds. Two family bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms and the other two share a further bathroom.
An extra child's bed or a cot can be provided on request.
There is a comfortable and restful sitting room and TV room with an open fire, where you can relax. Meals are served in the large dining room. For walkers, sailors and swimmers there are laundry facilities and a drying room.
Outdoors there is plenty of space and there are gorgeous gardens to explore and enjoy.
Meals and other facilities:
Breakfast is always included in the tariff and dinner at additional cost is a joy that you should not miss: Emma is a very fine chef in the traditional English country style - she uses many organic and local ingredients. Please discuss the menu with your hosts in advance of your arrival. Vegetarian and other dietary needs catered for with advance notice. Picnic lunches available - approximate price 5.00 GBP per head.
